A solution I found that may work for some people. Simply get a VNC program (I recommend UltraVNC) and use it to remotely access your computer. Once you remotely access your computer then set VLC player to stream to your current location then set VLC to recieve that file. Simple and Effective.

Oh and for anyone who is haveing issues with this I have found another solution. It is not quite the same but it works incredibly well. Get VNC then simply every time you want video streamed to you, log onto the computer from VNC and set VLC to stream the media you prefer. Simple and effective.

cant wait for the windows server version
i suppose i could run it on a virtual machine
but i just would rather keep it simple since i have XAMPP on my box here
and just dont have the money to get a server box haha
