did you try clicking on the rpm?
if there a libc.rpm click on it and it may install libc.so

Dont have the faintest idea.

i just rember seeing the dependency fault when trying to install something.

erm have you installed the listed files it needs? libcdio.so.0 is needed by cdinfo-0.71-0.i386 libiso9660.so.2 is needed by cdinfo-0.71-0.i386 libcdio.so.0 is needed by libvcd-0.7.20-3.i386 libcdio.so.0(CDIO_0) is needed by libvcd-0.7.20-3.i386 libiso9660.so.2 is needed by libvcd-0.7.20-3.i386 libis...

I installed lvc on a 250 GB hd but every time i run i get this fault at different times.
this time i was in the menu and it crashed with
Vlc caused a fault in user.exe

spec =
mini itx mb,
1GHz on board cpu
s3 graphics,
256MB ram,
onboard sound,
generic dvd player.
win 98.
