Just to let the developer know - 1.12 did fix my original problem (darkened secondary display), but it is also unusable for me too, so I'm a bit stuck.

I realise the developer is too busy to look at everything, but any chance you could try and reproduce this problem and issue a quick fix for 1.1.12?

I have exactly the same issue. OSX 10.7.2. Problem initially when using 1.1.12, but I've tried going back to 11 and 10 (and reset settings along the way) and still have the same problem. I currently use iTunes for MP3s, and VLC for video (OSX). It would be great if VLC could automatically pause iTunes when I start a video in VLC.
