OGG/Vorbis Default doesn't covert YouTube and no audio Theor

OK let me explain a little better -- I am using VLC Media Player 0.9.8a Grishenko in Windows XP SP 3. In the past (using 0.8 builds) I have been able to transcode/convert any YouTube streams (which are usually of the FLV flavor) into OGG container MPEGs, but since updating, it appears as though the ...

Screencasting - Can I set size and location of capture?

I am attempting to use VLC for screencating, or making screencasts. In the process of learning how to do this I have looked over the VLC help output file and many examples. I have come to accept that one of the simplest methods of doing this while in the graphical interface is to Open a new file, an...

Ripping CD to OGG

Hi I am using 0.8.6h of VLC on Windows and I can't seem to rip a track from a CD to OGG Vorbis. I have tried both opening the disc directly and saving the stream as OGG/MPEG 1/WAV/RAW and Vorbis and MPGA combinations. But nothing seems to be working. The file just ends up being 0 bytes. Has anybody ...

Encoding AVI from DIVX

I've searched and searched for this simple technique, and I've come to the assumption that it isn't a common task among VLC users. So I've come here to request help. My goal is to create a video CD (VCD) containing some of my favorite cartoons. The cartoons are encoded originally as DIVX movies, and...
