I've been seeing the same crash on Quit with VLC 8.6 on a MBP C2D running 10.4.10. It only seems to crash when the video I'm watching uses the x264 codec - other codecs like xvid don't cause the crash. Crashes whether using the keyshortcut or closing the controller window. It doesn't seem to matter ...
