as far as i've understood multicasting is done by the server ? i'm just trying to connect to that cast. maybe i've misunderstood something here though. The udp-adress is the right one, it´s from the site here and the adresses work on pc.

I´m trying to watch an udp stream through a network in the house. this works fine for pc but not on my powerbook G4 with vlc 0.8.6c. Anybody having the same problem or knows what:

access_udp: cannot open socket
main: no suitable access module for `udp://233.34.28.5:1001'

means? thanks
