Re: Compiling VLC 0.8.6d with ffmpeg svn

I tested it on a debian etch and it works fine. Thank you for the patch. Here is the configure line that I used: ./configure --enable-pth --enable-st --enable-gprof --enable-cprof --enable-mostly-builtin --enable-optimize-memory --enable-shout --enable-live555 --enable-dc1394 --enable-dv --enable-dv...

Re: default x264 parameters

Yes the transcoded file can be played on VLC. I tried with the MP4 file format, but it was the same. When I play the transcoded file using MPEG TS format the video starts, but no picture is available and a few seconds later, the picture is displayed. With MP4 format, I can see the video from the beg...

Re: default x264 parameters

I used MPEG TS and it did not work (with my transcoded file). I also tried raw, but it was the same, sound but no video.

Thank you for your response.

default x264 parameters

hello, I'm looking for the default parameters used to encode in H264 with x264. Here is my problem, I have a flv file in input, I want to transcode it to a set top box readable format/codec and then to stream it to a set top box. I do not want to transcode it on the fly. When I open the file, stream...

Re: Amino 110 STB

Thank you for your answer. I sniffed the network traffic between the set-top-box and the DHCP server. The DHCP server I'm running is dhcp3-server, provided by debian repositories. I looked at the server logs just after my post and I saw that logs mentioned the aminocom MAC address and never the micr...

Re: Amino 110 STB

Hello, I'm using Amino Aminet 125 on a local network with a local DHCP server running on debian etch (dhcp3-server). I'm trying to boot the aminet but it sends dhcp discover and dhcp requests permanently. The TV screen just display: "Loading..." and nothing else. Within the capture I made,...

splitting and streaming in RTP elementary streams

hello, I'm using vlc 0.8.6c on windows xp SP2 (and I'm new to VLC) I try to separate audio and video streams from a video file. My original file was a FLV file with mp3 audio codec and FLV1 video codec. I tried to stream this file via RTP, but only the audio stream was getting out of my PC. (I'm usi...
