Yes, one of the files are mkv. But, VLC does not play well high resolution wmv files also. It plays best the regular 1500 kbps xvid/avi files. I thought that I need to tweak some settings under preferences.
Anyways, where can I get this 1.1.0-pre4 version ? And how about nightly 1.2 build ?

too bad, KM player works better than this. But, I still like VLC.

almost all videos I play thru vlc is avi (xvid) or mkv BUT players like BS or SM player play them fine.

Well, I don't understand why this happens with VLC :cry: I am using an old P4 computer with onboard video. When I try to watch any movie i.e. avi or mkv file etc. the audio starts but video takes a long time to display. And if I fast forward there is artifacts in the video and sometimes it hangs but...
