But I've made the update, and I'm still with 8.0.6a.

The 8.0.6c solves the problem with wmv begining files... and it interests me...

I don't have a lot of time now. I'll retry it later and I 'll give you a feedback.

Hi, The current version of vlc is 0.8.6c. The version compiled in packets is the 0.8.6a. (for ubuntu dapper LTS 6.06) Is it planned to compile 0.8.6c in packets, and if so, when is it planned?
