Implementable or is it in consideration?

Not sure if this is a bug, or what. Every time I load VLC and play a video for the first time since it's been launched, there's a pop-up with a progress bar for about a min or so that says "Font cache rebuilding..." It doesn't cause any problems, but I figured I ought to report it just in ...

It would be useful to me if it were possible to save effects and filters settings between launches of VLC.

Can anyone speak with authority whether this is something that is being considered to coded in a later release?

This is an issue for folks who are watching movies and also like myself who are listening to audio books with 70+ tracks of 15+ minutes each the VLC Bookmarks save track and position already. You'd be doing a great service to mankind by making those puppies save after program exit. It'd be even bett...

I'm going to post this on a separate thread also, but my feature request would fix this problem. I gather that Bookmarks aren't saved on program exit, I know that they don't right now and I can't figure a way to configure it so they do. However, if they DID save track and position, and remain saved ...

yep, happy to add to the official back-patting thread ... this program efficiently does everything you need a video player to do, which I haven't been able to find until now. Thanks for the program and cheers for open source
