I had this issue as well but it's been fixed for me in the latest builds.

I have the same issue and my temporary solution is to use a late nightly build of mplayer on those files. I have the same problem with 1.5mbps dts files. I've tried with the latest nightly snapshot (30oct) and the sound stutters with spdif, normal output is fine. An example file can be found here: http://www.mediafire.com/?ann04oymtb2

actually dts plays fine for me in 0.8.6c, it's only in the nightlies that i have this problem. maybe something went wrong in the libdts -> libdca switch.

i'm having problem playing files with dts-audio with the nightly builds. is this a known issue?
