I tried using the Delete preferences in the .dmg-file, and it worked, try doing that...

I'm using an iMac intel core duo, the first version released, if it makes any difference..

I have downloaded the 0.8.6c and what not and I have the latest version of Mac OS X (10.4.10) and VLC does NOT work... wtf is the problem? (Yes VLC jumps a little in the dock but instead of the arrow it stops...) To resolve th problem I have also tried to download the older version of VLC called 0.8...
