BDA - well done!

Great stuff. I must confess I gave up lobbying for this nearly a year ago. Nobody amongst the core VLC dev community seemed to appreciate how critical this feature is. But you picked up the ball and (apparently) did it all on your own. This will give VLC a couple more years of life (at least). Man o...

Any progress on BDA support?

Has there been any news / progress on the "BDA support" (for DVB-T) mini-project?
... just an open question....

Cheers

Digital Rights Management - impact on Streaming ??

Belatedly, DRM is just beginning to sink in - I know - I'm getting old, slow and confused..... As I understand it, MS want to get the industry to move to a situation where the PC box would only display the video on a Monitor (or TV etc) which had the corresponding licence(s) / permissions etc etc. (...

Win CE - current status check, plus guidance sought

I have just got a PDA, and would like to stream to it from my PC. (I have already streamed successfully between PCs) I realise that: - the WIN CE port is still "under development" - the last nightly build was quite some time ago 1. So, is it still progressing, or has it been abandoned? 2. ...

DVB-T under Windows

Thanks - sorry - not quite sure what you mean:
(a) you had this problem in the past, but it is now giving you a different (ie DVB-T parameters) screen, or
(b) are you still having the problems I described above?

I'm not an expert, but... use the Wizard:

http://www.videolan.org/doc/streaming-h ... l#id289419

In stream output, select UDP, and enter the IP address of the PC you want to stream to....

On the other pc, again, use the wizard, to receive the stream

VLC support for DVB under Windows ?

Thanks. Well, I tried with the latest nightly build a month ago, and couldn't gget it working. There was then a posting here which pointed to the documentation - sure enough, the docs had been updated since I last looked at them, and they state that VLC currently only supports DVB under Linux. If I ...

Plans / hopes for support of DVB-T cards under Windows

Guys
Are there any plans to add support for streaming from DVB-T cards (Eg Hauppauge Nova -T PCI) ?

The rapid adoption of Freeview here in the UK has left a big hole in VLC's feature list.

Thanks in anticipation ;-)

Does VLC work under XP with Nova-T PCI (90002)

I have been using VLC successfully with a Hauppauge PVR250, under XP. Now got a Nova-T PCI (DVB-T 90002), and trying to get Freeview with it - with no success to date. Am using the latest nightly builds. Has anyone else got this combination working? - currently feels like beating my head against a w...

Streaming live TV with Win XP from Hauppauge PVR 250 !!!!

:D At last! Finally got this working! If your experience has been like mine, hope this takes you forward a bit ... 1. VLC 0.8.1 from the download page does NOT work properly with PVRs! 2. Instead download from the nightly builds - available at: http://vthr.via.ecp.fr/~videolan/build/win32/ - I used ...

VLC 081 with Hauppauge PVR250 under XP - help PLEASE?

I have an AMD 1700+ with Win XP, and a Hauppauge PVR 250. I cannot get VLC 0.8.1 to display live TV on my PC... - best I can get is maybe 10 secs of choppy video and very choppy audio, then it just gets worse, and within 15 secs, a black screen. I appreciate the documentation for Windows clients has...
