Can someone tell me what other simple player would work without having to go under the hood?

Yo, same thing here, Lion update and no ac3/dd/dts going to the amp anymore. Tried about 5 different vlc versions to no avail.
It was working fine with SL 10.6.8.

Hi, I don't get it, if vlc does not support dual core, what single core cpu is actually able to play 1080p?! I have an old p4 northwood running @ 3.3Ghz that cannot play 1080p, wmp can but framerate is slow. 720p is ok, depending on the resolution. I'm thinking about buying a p4 3.4Ghz 478pins presc...

Hi, I can't have the a52 over s/pdif to work anymore on WinXP. It used to work fine under Win2k with the correct output module but now each time I switch to a52 no sound comes out and the amp doesn't switch to digital like it used to. It works fine with every other audio devices thru the s/pdif. I h...
