I reset preferences if thats what you meant as i was unable to find a preferences folder in vlc's directory

still no joy any other ideas greatly appreciated

Hi, VLC has suddenly just started giving me a blue screen (but with sound) when i try and play any avi's although it seems to be ok playing dvd video_ts files? (Windows Media Player plays the avi's fine) I have uninstalled and reinstalled - no luck I have reset user preferences - no joy I have unins...
