When I try to use Open Disc... I always get an 'Error'-Message Your input can't be opened: VLC is unable to open the MRL 'dvd://I:\'. Check the log for details. but Open Folder... works well, chosing the I:\VIDEO_TS -Folder of the same disc. What might be the problem and where do I find the mentione...

Reducing volume did not bring any better sound.
The used audio card is a build in one.

I found the reason: there was something left from a former 'Total Recorder' installation. Reinstalling Total Recorder and then uninstalling it again solved the problem.

I listen to Radio Crazy Jazz with VLC.EXE on two different Windows XP computers on the same ADSL-Router. The notebook connected via WLAN works without problems. The computer connected via 100 MB Ethernet cable presents serious sound distortion using VLC.EXE but sound is OK with Windows Media Player....
