I've just noticed a problem with the playlist. Fresh install (0.9.4) -> add the "artist" column -> close VLC -> open VLC -> no more popup menu when I right-click on the header (ID, Artist, Title, etc) so I can't add/remove one of the columns... also the Artist column sorts the string, not...

You probably accidentally hit the "-" button to make the video/audio to play slower. Sometimes VLC detects the "-" button first, so when you hit spacebar it is causing it to activate the "-".

Go to Tools>Preferences>Tick the box saying "Allow Only One Instance"

I also agree, it is a little annoying.

Compare it to VLC 0.8.6, Ctrl+H simply made the the control interfaces disappear, while the video took up the extra space where the control interface used to be.

Now the interface disappears, but the video also resizes to default.

Tools>Preference>ShowAll>Interface>Main Interfaces>Qt>Untick Show a controller in fullscreen mode> Restart VLC.

That is how I disabled it.

I think jb or something else is fixing the problem.

Oh I see what you mean. To my knowledge that is normal behavior for VLC. It just happens that the focus on your computer is not on the VLC output window at that moment (the window focus is one another program?). This can be useful when you want to tab to another application such as instant messaging...

When you install, it does ask. You just have to read carefully before clicking next next next.
