Hi, I had already tried that fix suggested elsewhere. Should have mentioned that. I tried it again----I pasted the address %appdata%\vlc in the explorer bar and deleted that folder under users on the C drive and it didn't help. Yes. It's only when I double click on the video file that it only allows one instance. I had it set up in .9xx that each time I clicked on a video file it would open a new window.

Hi,

I had to do a reformat but I used to have multiple windows of VLC open to different movies/shows. Now when I click on a new movie it opens up in the same window as the one I was watching effectively stopping the original movie. Is there a setting in VLC to open up a new movie in a new window?
