Ok, I managed to solve that problem as well by installing libmpeg2 from your repository. Got the answer from your replies to one of the other posts.. thanks a ton again!

VLC is running with problems now

Thanks for your quick reply. After running the ZEN software updater, vlc is finally working.
However it still won't play .mpeg, .vob and .dat files? Could you help me with that as well?

VLC does not open
Hi, I am using openSUSE 10.2. I have tried installing VLC from both the packman repository as well as the repository mentioned in the videolan website. Whenever I try to open VLC it won't open, the cursor will show some activity with the VLC icon and then just stops. Please let me know how to get VL...
