Were you able to develop a larger version of it? Yes. You can download it here . I'm submitting an update to the Skins website. (Although, I can never remember what email address I use to submit the original work/updates, so I hope it doesn't not approve because the email address provided is differ...

Arite, I changed it so that the hour digit won't be displayed if it isn't zero. I didn't know VLC had that "feature." :D I'm working on a the larger type. I have it so that you can toggle to either the large or small version, depending on preference. When it's done, I'll release this updat...
A lot of VLC's weaknesses aren't just skin-related. I'd like to see VLC become as stable and nice as KMPlayer (not to be confused with the KDE player.)
The video output thing may prove to be a pain, as some of us have discovered. (Although a few skins have managed to do it, it seems.) If the VLC team wants more skins, they should at least give us a little more functionality to work with!
I'm glad you like it so far. Currently I have the main interface working. No playlist, no equalizer, no dvd buttons (I want to put them with the video output window), and no functioning video skin yet (blame the VLC vout bugs...). I'm thinking of releasing this skin early, as I don't have much time ...
I might as well note that I develop skin designs using a program called Inkscape. Because of this programs awesomeness, I am able to replicate the same theme at any size I want, without loosing image quality. This is a good reason for skin developers to use Inkscape over Photoshop for skin designin...

If you take a look at the default 0.8.6 skin, video does display in a skinned window... I'm still trying to figure out how they did it. Edit: I got it working, but it needs some help . For example, open a music file, then open a video file! :( After that, opening video files always results in the vi...
I had an idea for a VLC skin and started working on a mockup design in Inkscape (a scalable vector program). http://img251.imageshack.us/img251/58/blend2mockupcmz1.png So far, I have created a working skin. That is to say, it offers basic music listening functionality. I won't release it until I hav...
I suggest Inkscape for mockup drawings. Paint.Net is more of a Photoshop tool. Inkscape is a free drawing tool, a little like Adobe Illutrator, I suppose (I hate that program).
This is an amazing skin. I hope you have time to finish it, or someone can help you out. You need a new font. Try the Bitstream Vera font, which is a free, "open source" font. It's not perfect, but it avoids legal issues with using a "freeware" or "commercial" font, and...
Taking parts of other people's work without asking them for permission and not even giving any credits is absolutely not nice. You should have asked before using my progress bar and playlist icons. :x Oh, yeah, sorry. I used your skin as the bases for mine, being new to this VLC skinning stuff. I'm...
Blend VLC Media Player Skin http://www.videolan.org/vlc/skins2/tm_blend.png Author's Notes This is my first VLC skin. Being so, I needed a starting point. This skin is based off of Airflow, by Daniel Dreibrodt. Other than the XML being modified, the following are the works of Daniel: volume bar (th...
Comments on a forum thread would be a good idea (I don't want to add a whole comment system to the skins page). Should each skin link to it's comment thread? or should I just create a subcategory of the skins forum category and let the users find/create the appropriate skin thread? (The second solu...
