I'm trying to stream from an app I have created to VLC, and it verifiably works but only when I launch the stream from the VLC GUI. I've searched long and hard to find any additional command line arguments that would help reduce this, but simply setting the caching to 0 in the GUI fixes the problem....

I'm getting slowed down audio output, and it's noisy. Really terrible quality. I've done the Preferences -> Audio -> Win32 WaveOut thing, that works. VLC plays fine now. Only, nothing else does.
