I will give the installation of VLC another trie.

I tried to install VLC but that isn't working at all.
I'm running Debian on a virtual server so I don't have a GUI. The only thing I want to do is broadcast mms streams and nothing else.

Why not use vls for this single task ?

I'm want to install vls on Debian 3.1 (stable) since I only want to broadcast mms streams. I got the libs installed and managed to run ./configure and 'make' without any errors. When i run 'make install' I get the following error message: .......:/etc/vls-0.5.6# make install mkdir -p /usr/local/bin ...

Oke, still haven't got it working yet.
But found out that sarge isn't supported because it isn't stable ?

I'am having exactly the same problem.
Help would be very apriciated.
