streaming from dreambox 500 or 7000 works in windows and linux, but not allways on the mac. its rare it works on the mac. I can even load parallels and run windows vlc from there and have it work, so I cant see it being a hardware issue. any tips ? I tried all the windows/linux tips of streamout adv...

most meg2 is in 4:2:0 but some I get from wildfeeds comes in 4:2:2

linux and windows doesnt have a problem playing these in vlc, but the mac version does. I get audio with black video, if I let it play long enough it crash's vlc to the point I have to force quit on it.

do I need to install something else to get vlc to decode 4:2:2 ?

ok, problem not quite resolved. many true fta channels have the same sid as other channels on the same tp. therfore I cant watch them with vlc anymore. windows/linux has no problem. mac has issues. the mac version of vlc doesnt seem to be the same software as the linux version, I cant play recorded ...

ok, problem solved.

under playback->program is the same as navigation in windows/linux.

choose the SID of the channel your dreambox is tuned to and you'll have video/audio.

how do you install the plugin ? I downloaded it and installed it, but nothing seems different, firefox still asks me to save the video.m3u file, if I double click it it still opens in vlc...
