Well I figured it out... just changed the video output to openGL and boom, subs work yay! Ok...

Ok well, I finally managed to get my VLC player working after 2 days of trying... well ok so one and a half... but now i try to play an OGM file and the subtitles wont show. Messed with my settings but to no avail. It would appear my videos with seperate streams for subs wont display them. Any ideas...

Ok, fresh linux install + the link you gave me = success. Works fine, minus the fact that full screen mode is a bit on the glitchy side. If i open the video in full screen it sorta locks up the desktop. sucky. maybe ill figure out whats causing it. I learn fast thank god lol

hmm, well i suppose that would be a good site if half the links to the RPMS werent invalid. Well i found most of the stuff but damn dependancies. I dunno maybe i did something wrong... Had to reinstall linux because there were so many things that started conflicting. Actually it was mostly libgnutls...

I want to install VLC on my PS3. I'm running the PS3 version of Yellow Dog Linux 5.0. I really don't know how to do much on linux yet as i just got it. I downloaded the big megapack that is supposed to have all the dependancies and such but the doinst.sh included does nothing and I really dont know ...
