I use PSPad & notepad++ text-editor to convert the encoding.
But both editor don't have/know GB18030.
How (with which software) do you convert to GB18030?

After converting the encoding to UTF-8 .. then VLC displays the readable chinese subtitles .. and not the garbage.
Only the format-changing was not easy!

I've a AVI-file. VideoLAN shows only the video but can not play the sound.

GSpot tells me that the audio codec is ogg_vorbis_3_plus (0x6771) Ogg Vorbis.
