Re: Blu-Ray Support

Ok, I've just installed the latest JRE and I confirm VLC doesn't crash. :D
I was just tired to try any new JRE version to see if it worked.

The blu-rays whose menu won't show up have still the same problem, though.

Re: Blu-Ray Support

Hi, I have the same problem with some blu-rays (as far I can remember, "Blue velvet" and "To live and die in L.A."), that is, the menu won't show up and it will play directly the movie. You can play the other titles with mouse right click -> Playback -> Title As I wrote some post...

Re: Blu-Ray Support

Hi, if VLC crashes while trying to play a blu-ray, it could be because it's the latest Java versions which make it crash. As far as I know, the last Java version which doesn't cause VLC to crash is Java 8 Update 321, which you can download from here: https://www.oracle.com/java/technologies/javase/j...

VLC 3.0.8 won't play many AVI files

Hi, with latest version, VLC 3.0.8, many AVI files won't play. Nothing happens, no errors. VLC seems to stay opened in the background when I close it, though.
I had to revert back to version 3.0.7.1.

Re: Blu-Ray Support

I have the same problem with a few blu-rays. The problem is the old libbdplus.dll. I searched for a new version, but I couldn't find a new one so far.

Re: Blu-Ray Support

Hi, your blu-rays won't play because you don't have the decryption keys.
To get them, you can use FindVUK, which you can find here:
https://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?t=172472
You also need the free version of DVDFab:

Re: VLC 3.0.5 is out

Hi, I've never had this issue earlier. I've just tried with VLC 3.0.7 and it's still present. It happens with MKVs and DVDs. Or is there anything I can try?

Re: Adding an option to unmap arrow keys

Sorry, nope. I solved this assigning up, down, left, right to 8, 2, 4, 6 (as in the numeric keypad). In this way, I can use them to navigate DVD and blu-rays menus and they don't interfere with video files. And, most important thing, they don't give me troubles with my remote controller.

Re: VLC 3.0.5 is out

Hi, I've just noticed (VLC 3.0.6) that, if I take a screenshot with subtitles, the image format is distorted; with no subtitles, it's correct.

Re: Blu-Ray Support

I'm not sure if you have problems downloading, but in the official download page, here:
https://www.videolan.org/vlc/
you can find both 32 & 64 bit versions.
You have just to click the down arrow beside "Download" (which could not be so obvious  ).

Re: Blu-Ray Support

Don't worry, I'm also making attempts to make things works, searching here and there. To answer in order: 1) I'm pretty sure the AACS folder with the vm0 folder in it was made by the AACS Updater. However, I've just tried to play a few blu-rays after removing the vm0 folder and they play with...

Re: Blu-Ray Support

I updated to VLC 3 after almost an year (the first version had some annoying bug) from VLC 2.2.4 32 bit. I just uninstalled it (also removed its installation folder) and installed VLC 3.0.4 64 bit (after trying VLC 3.0.5). Luckly, my configuration settings were almost intact. Just copy libaacs.dll a...

Re: Blu-Ray Support

(I had to cut my answer because it exceeded the post lenght) Other blu-rays (for example, "Blue velvet"), when played with menu, go straight to the movie and I can't reach the menu in any way, and I can see the other titles only when played without menu. Other (for example, "Scarface&...

Re: Blu-Ray Support

As far as I know, "country code" and "region code" are the same thing, but they are different for DVDs and blu-rays. See for example here: http://www.regionfreedvd.net/region-codes.html By the way, I've updated some files. Now, I'm using libaacs.dll and libbdplus.dll from here: h...

Re: Blu-Ray Support

I've just installed the latest DVDFab version, and, in the blu-ray settings, there's an option to remove the region code, and it's disabled by default. Actually, I can't understand why to leave it disabled.
However, maybe, you can give a look at it.

Re: Blu-Ray Support

Mmmmm... I think the problem is with VLC itself and there's nothing you can do. Some blu-ray menus simply won't work.

Have you succeeded to make blu-rays play with VLC 3.0.5?

No snaptshots from mkv videos and DVDs in version 3.0.5

Hi!
I've just upgraded to VLC 3.0.5. Unfortunately, the very first bug I've found is that taking snapshots from mkv videos and DVDs (but not for example avi videos) does not work anymore: nothing happens.

Adding an option to unmap arrow keys

Hi, would it be possible to add an option to unmap arrow keys, so that up/down arrow don't adjust volume and left/right arrow don't make a jump?
It gives me problems with a USB remote controller I use.

Thanks!
