Re: Blu-Ray Support

What's your operating system? Windows 10? I have just tried in a virtual machine (Windows 10, indeed) and... nothing. I think I did exactly what you wrote. I always get the damn message: https://s26.postimg.org/9cwqpw42x/Immagine1.jpg Perhaps, I'll give another try tomorrow, if I have time, or I'll ...

Re: Blu-Ray Support

Ok, I've just tried, and I can also say VLC 2.2.4 can play blu-rays. :D I think I'll keep it, for now. Sorry, what do you mean by "video smearing all over the screen"? Do you see artifacts or other things? There are so many settings, and, for my experience, many depends on the hardware. Fo...

Re: Blu-Ray Support

Welcome! So, you confirm VLC 2.2.4 works with blu-ray? I have to try when I'll have a little time.
As I said, the AACS updater project, which provided the necessary files and keys, seems dead. So, it's hard to say if someone will make a new version compatible with VLC latest version.

Re: Blu-Ray Support

If you read a little higher up, it seems the last VLC version which can play blu-ray is 2.2.4.
Personally, I still have to try.

The AACS updater project seems to be dead.

Re: Blu-Ray Support

Unfortunately, your trick doesn't work with me.
I'm using VLC 2.2.6 32 bit on Windows 7 64 bit.

By the way, using Process Monitor, it says it doesn't find libmmbd.dll, too, which is not included with AACS Updater.

Is AACS Updater project dead?

Re: Blu-Ray Support

I've been going insane trying to figure out how to download the stupid KEYDB.cfg key file. Every time I click on it to download it, all I get is an insane amount of text on the screen and no downloaded file. How the big, fat, hairy, heck do I get this file?
Right click, download. :D

Re: vlcsnap snapshots strange date

Well, I've been using it for months, and, as far I'm concerned, that's the only issue I have found. You can download it here: https://www.videolan.org/vlc/download-windows.html It's a bit hidden though: you have to click on the arrow close to "Download VLC", which will open a menu and down...

vlcsnap snapshots strange date

Hi all! According to the documentation, the timestamp following vlcsnap- in snapshots filename is the current date and time, but I've just noticed that they're completely wrong. For example, I've just made a screenshot, and the file name is vlcsnap-5046-10-28-20h08m37s183, where I guess 5046 is the ...

Playing mp4 and blu-rays choppy + horizontal black bands resized

Hi all! I have a netbook (Acer Aspire One, 4 GB ram, Windows 7 64 bit, AMD Radeon HD 6290, VLC 2.2.3 64 bit): mp4 files and blu-rays play choppy, not fluid. An example of mp4 file: Video ID : 1 Format : AVC Format/Info : Advanced Video Codec Format profile : High@L4.1 Format settings, CABAC : No For...

Re: Cannot login or search or register on the forum

Hi! In these days, I'm experiencing the same problem: when I try to login, I get: No route found for "GET /ucp.php"
It seems an IP problem, since now I'm connected through proxy server.

Re: Resume in vlc 2.2

Ok, after some times, I've just discovered this option is located in Show all settings -> Interfaces -> Main interfaces -> Qt More hidden no? :P By the way, I don't know if it's my problem, but I can't see any window asking for resuming. If I change the settings to Always, it resumes. :? (VLC 2.2.1 ...

Change next button behaviour

Hi to all! Ok, I tried to search on Google, but I couldn't find any solution. I'd like to change the default behaviour of the "next button": instead of opening the next item in a playlist, I'd like it to go to the next chapter, for example, while playing a DVD (instead of starting it from ...

Subtitle tracks not in submenu

Hi!
I'd like that all the subtitle tracks were put in "Subtitle" menu, under "Add Subtitle File..." and not in a sub-menu, as it was in the previous versions of VLC. Another sub-menu, in this case, is useless, in my opinion.
Thanks.

Re: GPU Acceleration not working - vlcrc file corrupted?

Just installed. ^_^ Enabling/disabling GPU acceleration has no effect at all. To remove artifacts, I have to go to Settings -> Effects and filters -> Video effects and enable "Image adjust" To be clear, by artifacts I mean this (look at the black on the left side): http://i1209.photobucket...

Multimedia key Play doesn't work

Hi! I have a USB remote controller with multimedia keys, this one: http://h-wrt.com/pics/ik.jpg Since I've upgraded to VLC 2.1.0, the Play/Pause key doesn't work anymore, or, better: if the video is stopped and I press the key, the video is played, and, if I press it again, pause doesn't work, and t...

Re: GPU Acceleration not working - vlcrc file corrupted?

Yep. In my humble opinion, during the upgrade to 6.1.0, the configuration file messes up.
