Re: Scrobbling issues

Why isn't VLC upgraded to use scrobbling 2.0?

Last.fm says the old protocol is depreciated, and it shows - VLC for me has never reliably scrobbled anything.

How do you stream something in VLC?

I wish to stream a webcam over my LAN. I do not really know how to do this. The VLC tutorial is for an older version (I have 1.1.9 in Ubuntu, the streaming wizard looks completely different) I can open and view my webcam /dev/video0/ in VLC but I have no idea how to stream it. What do I need to do i...

Re: VLC 1.1.0 don't unload when closed under XP

I also noticed this problem too.

Running Windows XP Pro SP3 (and this was on a clean install of Windows and VLC)

I ignored it for a while but now I saw this thread, looks like a common problem!

Re: Sound dropping out, debug message: "Output is Starving"

It appears to be only video files.

MP3, FLAC and APE work fine at least.

Sound dropping out, debug message: "Output is Starving"

I recently upgraded my computer and reinstalled Windows. I am using XP Pro SP3 and VLC v1.1.0 I have a problem with most video files where the sound cuts out intermittently. Looking at the debug log, I see: main warning: output date isn't PTS date, requesting resampling (-47229) main warning: timing...

Re: Very weird VLC/AC3/Realtek/msvcrt.dll crash/system lockup

Thank you, I got VLC running again by deleting %appdata%\vlc However the original problem still remains. I tried rendering the file with Gspot, it told me it uses a Nero and then Cyberlink Decoder, and then the computer locked up again when it had finished. I imagine this is why PowerDVD locks up, s...

Very weird VLC/AC3/Realtek/msvcrt.dll crash/system lockup

First of all, let me describe my very odd problem with a system. To make this post less confusing, I'll ID the systems by their CPUs. one (the one that freezes) uses a Sempron. The other (which doesn't freeze) uses an Athlon. I have a DVDRIP of 300 which is in h264 and A52(AC3) codec. I used to be a...

Fix corrupt MP4 video file???

Left my PC on all night to record some TV with VLC (vcr + vivo video card) normally this works fine but when I checked it, VLC was on 100% cpu, hard drive was doing NOTHING and I have a 9GB MP4 file that I can't play in anything. I guess it didn't finish writing out the file, or 'closing' it? (I can...
