Had the same problem after upgrading to 10.4.9 and itunes 7.11.1...read the previous posts and changed to 0.8.4a and now things worked perfectly as before!

I upgrade to 10.4.9 as well as itunes 7.1.1, now vklc crashes everytime i tries to play a file. Anyone has a clue?

VLC crashed every time I run it ever after I upgraded to iTune 7.1.1 and osx 10.4.9. Mine is a mac mini 1.5GHz G4.
