Hello, I'm transcoding from v4l interface (live analog input), and I don't want to go over the 3.5 Mbit. But very often VLC encode proces is generating spikes - for about 6Mbits. The parameters vb and ab are set for correct values. How can I make hard output bitrate limit? Thanks for any help...

Modules should be .so files, not .o files. See first if they are present in the compilation tree (try running ./vlc instead of vlc from there). I can simplify my problem - vlc after compilation can't see modules, but they are compiled, I can find *.o in source dir, or after "make install" in /usr/local/vlc

I just noticed, that on my laptop, when I am connecting to first server vlc also is printing:

but I can view the stream. Mplayer also can.

This is matter of routing - you must enable multicast routing on server.
