Pitch variations when streaming MP3 internet radio

After upgrading to 2.1 I'm getting periodical tiny pitch variations when listening to MP3 radios such as http://www.di.fm and http://www.dr.dk/hjaelp/DR+Netradio/20111020145139.htm The variations are tiny and they do not happen constantly, but still very annoying and very easy to hear. Didn't happen...

6-7seconds blurry video on each search [resolved, kinda]

EDIT: Turning off GPU accelerated decoding fixed it. Every time I skip forward or backwards in a movie it takes 6-7 seconds before the video becomes proper. How do I fix this? http://s7.postimage.org/yhbc7ofhn/Unavngivet.png --- Using VLC 2.0.4 Systeminfo Windows 7 64bit cpu: CORE2 DUO E8500 3.16GH...

Re: Horizontal lines (vsynch?) after switching to Nvidia

Change Video Output to OpenGL. Thanks, that seems to have fixed it. I did try it previously, but only after I had tried a million other things suggested around the forums. Perhaps default settings and then only OpenGL was what was needed. Is there any reason NOT to enable "Use GPU accelerated ...

Horizontal lines (vsynch?) after switching to Nvidia

I switched from an old radeon 4850 to a gfx 660. I formatted windows 7 64bit. I am using default settings in the latest VLC. Now movies in VLC often have weird horizontal lines. The same effect happens in fullscreen youtube videos. This was not there before, when I had Radeon. Playback with verbose ...

Re: Remove all window decorations possible in non-fullscreen

Try what Mederi suggested.
Tried his method and just like him, it's a small window stuck in the upper-left corner.

Re: Remove all window decorations possible in non-fullscreen

vlc --qt-minimal-view
What do you mean by that? I tried starting vlc with

Code: Select all

"C:\Program Files (x86)\VideoLAN\VLC\vlc.exe" --qt-minimal-view
but it didn't change anything

Re: 2.0.1 late frames (verbose2 included)

OpenGL made my cpu go 100%, but DirectX seemed to do the trick. Thanks for the link :)

Re: Delete files locally

The closest feature I'm able to find in 2.0.1 is this: Toggle out of fullscreen Stop the playing of the file Show playlist Memorise the filename of the current item Rightclick the current item Click "Show Containing Folder" Locate the file (which can be difficult if it's a large directory,...

2.0.1 late frames (verbose2 included) [resolved]

Hi, I've enjoyed vlc ever since I discovered it, but lately it's been skipping frames and stuttering. I've tried resetting to default settings, but it seems to make no difference. I've tried playing some movies with a different player (kmplayer) and it didn't have any stuttering. I've probably inclu...

Well... No :)

Odds are that people will be using vlc media library to play files and if you can't delete files on hard drive from within the library people will still be forced to locate the files (again) in explorer if you want to delete them.

Delete files locally

Is there a way to not only delete files from playlist, but from harddrive as well?
It can get really tedious to look up the files' location in vlc, find the files in windows and then delete. Would be much easier if I could just press 1 shortcut and it would be deleted.

firefox + subs

Isn't there an easier way to stream http movies than copying the url from firefox, opening vlc, pasting the url? The autodetection for subs seems a bit dogdy. Sometimes vlc fails to find a sub it has just found the last time the movie was played. (using same filenames for movie and sub) And is there...

I tried your method but either ff shows nothing or it simply closes (without an error message) for instance http://www.apple.com/trailers/paramount ... large.html

fullscreen hide taskbar

As someone already pointed out, the taskbar doesn't go away in fullscreen-mode anymore.

That can be sort of fixed if "modules>interface>wxwindows>embed windows in interface" is disabled. Kinda annoying though.
