I live in the USA and have been using VLC on a G4 powerbook running 10.4.8 to view European DVDs (Region 2). Great- no problem. We recently got an Intel dual core iMac (also running OS X 10.4.8 ) but VLC won't work on it with Region 2 DVDs (I don't want to change the setting on the Apple DVD player)...
