im been using vlc for a long time now and had no problems but all of a sudden im getting choppy sound in anything i play with vlc.i have played those files before without error, if i play a mp3 file its choppy. i have tried what was sead in the first post and i had the coloursceme problem, i changed to other opetions and opengl option works just fine for me, but i would like to know will opengl put a strain on my cpu or am i ok?

well i guess i will not use a skin then, until the problem is fixed

yeah i like that idea if you pass out durring the movie atleast the computer will get some rest too

well when you are in full screen if you click or somthing you should get a little box or toolbar simlar to divx and the many others (but please dont make it like windows media player that if you move the mouse you get the toolbar at the bottom I HATE THAT) that tells you how how much is left .etc ha...

so ur saying vlc havs its own decoders and incoders? well anyways i just uninalled and reinstalled without it accossiatin any file types to anyting, because i use k lite for real player plugins and quicktime plugin.
