Re: Help with XSPF playlist (< vlc : option> xxxx)

Yes, some options are not available to playlist, for security reasons.
Would you be so kind as to point us to a location that lists the options that are available to playlist?

Thank you!

Can't seem to figure it out. I've searched the forum up and down and every example I've seen where somebody uses fake to show a jpg in their m3u file... they all have fake: (some with and some without the image name afterwards). Anybody have suggestions on how to update the m3u file to allow image t...

Change them in your m3u.
Thanks. Can you give an example in an m3u where it shows a title but doesn't show fake? I've previously tried getting rid of the word "fake:" before the title... but then it doesn't show anything.

Thanks.

Get rid of the word "fake"?

I just wanted to inquire if there was a way to use images/stills in VLC without the word "fake:" showing up in the playlist or in the player? In the screenshot you can see the .m3u file and you can see how the word "fake:" shows up in the player and the playlist for each still. I...

Anyway, I just warn you that you must comply to the GPL for the modified binary.
Always!

Thanks again!

set_capability( "interface", 30 );
in skin_main.cpp change the 30 to 160
awesome... I'll give that a try. Thanks.

ok. I suggest that you make the shortcuts to vlc.exe -Iskins or the start menu and desktop. then it will be saved. If you really want to recompile because of the logo, then change the score of skins2 to be higher than the wx one. I've already compiled with different logos and such. How does one cha...

Ohoh.. Just change and force it in the preferences or in the preferences file. Don't recompile VLC for this except if you are mad. :D Is there a way to change it so that when a user installs VLC that we don't have to force them or explain to them how to go through and manually change it in preferen...

compile so skins2 is default

Is there a way to compile VLC from source so that the first time the vlc.exe file is run it starts the program in skins mode? I want to try and make it so that the first time anybody runs the program it defaults to the skins interface and always open up in the skins interface after that also. I just...

Yes! I have noticed this and I'm doing an enhancement for color and a slight sharpening for the edges when transcoding into h.264 Have you tried M2V for MPEG 2? This is the easier form if you want to make changes later with an editor and not transcode the whole thing again to loose a generation. We...

Thanks for the help DJ. I can't see where Adobe Premier Pro will allow you to do Mpeg2. It will allow you to do an AVI container with MPEG4 compression (and it has v1, v2 & v3 codecs to choose from). I just tried exporting .mov with H.264 compression at 100% quality with no recompress and it doe...

To me this looks more like an encoding issue than a player issue for a format that seems to be disappearing. Hmmm... I've run it through Premiere Pro using: Microsoft Uncompressed AVI: Compressor = (10-bit YUV 4:2:2: YUV) Microsoft AVI: Compressor = UYVY 422 Microsoft AVI: Compressor = none Quickti...

Here is a little 5 second clip if somebody wants to try it out on theirs and see if they are getting the same results. It is rather large even though it is only 5 seconds since it is RAW. LINK Try it in VLC & WMP and see if there is a difference for you? My next question (if there is no way to c...

Doesn't render rv24 AVI correctly. Distorted/Cut.

Is there anything I can do to get it to render this AVI correctly in VLC? If you look at the picture below... the top left feed is how it is being displayed in VLC and the bottom feed is how it is supposed to look (which is being fed through Windows Media Player 11 on the same machine.) It appears a...

Scrolling Marquee

I know this was requested by somebody back in '05 but I thought I would send a "bump" to request again in '07. Would it be possible to add scrolling marquees as a feature? A single scrolling marquee (with position adjustment, speed adjustment, color adjustment, etc...) A multi-line scrolli...

Thanks for the reply. It doesn't quite fit my needs... we need to allow the user to have pixel precision control over position and size of video played. I've tried a couple of different "hacks" to the skin but to no avail. I just finished creating a 3000x2000 pixel blank window with a blac...

Is it possible to read width/height, X/Y coordinates from video preferences in the skin and set a skin's window's position and size based on those preferences? The reason I ask... I want to be able to set the position of the video window within the skin based on what is set in the video preferences....

Toggle "windows decorations" action

It would be great if we could setup a button in our skin that would allow us to toggle window decorations without having to work our way through preferences to do it. Could a "windows decorations" action be setup to where you could have a border if set to true and hide the border if set to...

Controlling X,Y H,W through interface

I've done some searching through the forums here but haven't seen anybody address this yet so I thought I would ask real quick before trying to tackle it (no need in re-inventing the wheel if it has already been done). We have the need to have pixel precision positioning and sizing of the video wind...
