No 4K videos, juat Full HD and screen and tv are capable to play those (after resizing VLC so it's easier to drag to tv and see miniibar). Worked on older "VLC" too.
Same here mostly on movies but even then not always just randomly and if minibar disappears then no idea at what point of video is (unless exits full screen).
Is there any way to stop VLC to stretch itself to bigger window when starting video? I know user can make it smaller by dragging it from corners but that doesn't help that much when half a screen is off screen
Well uninstalled and re-installed VLC and no change (clsred caches etc twince since could uninstall VLC even 1 instance was open) so go figure what went "right" on december installation and what went "wrong" on reseting cache and prefs. With opengl output all works as before.
No playback problem for me with your sample file using D3D11, no green screen at all. It might have something to do with your Radeon graphics card, there are other reports about this brand: https://forum.videolan.org/search.php?keywords=radeon Well it has issues but why everything besides minis wor...
Please upload a short sample of your original problematic file to WeTransfer.com or Disroot.org and then post the link to the file here. https://wetransfer.com https://upload.disroot.org If needed cut it with DGsplit and read here about how to do it: https://forum.videolan.org/viewtopic.php?f=14&am...
On Windows 7 and above, the best video output module should be Direct3D 11: Tools -> Preferences -> Video Output = Direct3D11 Tools -> Preferences -> Input/Codecs Hardware accelerated decoding = D3D11 Video Acceleration Check also this: https://wiki.videolan.org/VSG:Video:Color_nVidia You can also ...
First, reboot your computer, then reset the preferences and cache (the manual way) and try again: https://wiki.videolan.org/VSG:ResetPrefs Well that solved that problem (and brought few more which I could solve (history, separate player for all multimedia, max sound, sound reset) except 1). Now whe...
For some reason mini bar vanishes on full screen (currently) and also quite often after changing aspect ratio to fit to screen (video is 16:10 and tv only 16:9) and also no right click menus on full screen and to get menus back I need to exit full screen and after returning to full screen menus vani...
When not in full screen mode you can always manually resize the window with the mouse. I know that but not that easy when VLC jumps to near full screen from small window so a lot dragging to get VLC back to small size to move it on TV and there put VLC as Full Screen and maybe change Aspect Ratio t...
What setting I'm missing since VLC goes to near full screen when I open video and doesn't stay on small size and that makes dragging VLC to TV not that easy?
It should be fixed with VLC v3.0.20: https://forum.videolan.org/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=163403 Well I have 3.0.20 but it happens so either bug or some setting which was right on previous installation is wrong on this. After going through settings I got it to show up on full screen but not on full s...
That mini-bar vanishes (doesn't show up) after I put VLC on full screen and change aspect ratio so that video fills whole screen. Didn't happen before I did full reinstall.
Ans that's good for your speakers and your ears. There is absolutely no good reason for always playing anything over the 100% limit on a regular basis, you should turn the app volume down and push up the volume of your amp/speakers. Yes I know that (saw your post about same subject on version 3.0.3...
Menu Tools -> Preferences (Show settings = All) -> Interface -> Main interfaces -> Qt Then on the right panel scroll down to the bottom and set Maximum Volume Displayed to 200. Save, exit and restart VLC for the change to take effect. Well that I got by myself but still when I set max volume in set...
Before I re-installed Win10 VLC reset audio to 200% no matter whatever it was when closed VLC but now it won't save anything higher than 125% so how do I change that? Also on fresh install of VLC videos had green bar at bottom of them with default settings but after changing to video output to OpenG...
Same here, crashes (well crashed since downgraded to .18) on Win 10 64Bit (Core i7 4770 and Radeon R9 290x).
Weirdly doesn't crash on other comp with older processor and Intel integrated graphics so either temp bug or was fixed (not gonna test by updating VLC on main computer).
