I like to show the time elapsed/total time ($T / $D) in the marquee on the OSD but ever since a few versions ago, every time the OSD updates the text jumps to the left, or in case of being in the upper left, it "shrinks" to the left. This is kinda annoying, anyone else notice this? I tried...

The wxwidgets interface doesn't work. It isn't able to find the wxwidgets plugin and of the 72 dependencies I don't see a wxgtk package, but as you said it should be compiled statically. The *.so for the plugin exists but it isn't finding it.

The PDA interface isn't opening any files.

Would it be possible to create a fully compartmentalized package like Per Allansson's? Instead of requiring to install dependencies.

Also, it is stuck on the PDA interface and can't turn it off.

So I guess Per Allansson isn't around to build another package for Slackware?

Isn't there a 0.8.6a package for Slackware 11 that is just like the 0.8.5 package? The download page for 0.8.5 doesn't have a complete slackbuild file, just compile options, so I can't build my own on just that. I want a VLC package that installs to /opt and has ALL the codecs it needs in /opt/vlc. ...
