If it helps to shed any light, I just upgraded to 10.4.11 and this problem does not exist.

At the bottom of the downloads page there is a link "our FTP archive" under the heading "Older Versions." Follow that and it will take you to the build you seek!

I have the same problem and have had to install 0.8.6c.

Here are my specs:

700 MHz iMag G4
768 MB RAM
OS X 10.3.9

Disable Interface

On the forums I found that this is a known bug that will be fixed in the next release. Until then, disabling the GUI will fix that. To do that:

-File > Preferences
-Click "advanced" checkbox
-Click on the interface > uncheck "Show Interface With Mouse"
