Re: Help with Libvlc structure

ok - maybe if a mod/developer can address there issues if they look in here?

Also, do you know the correct/safe way to destroy vlc. I.e. Stop the video, destroy the media item, then destroy the media player, then finally destroy the vlc instance - is that the correct order?

Re: Help with Libvlc structure

thanks - that helps alot.

Do you know if the "work that needs to be done" is currently in development and will be out in time for v1.0 or a future minor release?

Help with Libvlc structure

Hi, I am a little confused about the libvlc structure in order play mulitple video files in a single app. For a simple case of a single instance of vlc, I need to create 1 x instance of vlc using libvlc_new, i then need a media player using libvlc_media_player_new, and finally a media item using lib...

Re: C# Wrapper for libvlc 0.9.0 - Testers Required

"However there is still an issue when closing the forms application as it appears VLC doesn't die gracefully. I get a debug request whenever i close the program. I'm not sure if this is due to libvlc or the c# wrapper. But its certainly annoying thats for sure!" I think its libvlc. I have ...

Incorrect Input.Length from .ts file?

The VLC.Input.Length always returns zero for .ts video files using 0.9.8a and v2 of the plugin - does anyone else have this issue?

Re: libvlc_new lock

i think your right - issuing stops before destroying the vlcs seems to make it more stable when closing an app. Its still hangs occasionally, but no where near as much. Problems i still have is i can create 3/4 vlcs on start up no problem, then when i set them all going (i.e. on a button click event...

Re: libvlc_new lock

I too have these problems in both VB and Delphi in every version of vlc so far (including 0.9.8a) I dynamically create 2 or 3 vlc when a application starts up, and sometimes its fine....but more often than not the app will freeze when it is creating one of the vlc's. However a more troublesome probl...

Please can someone post some code (preferably in Delphi) on how to use the VLC Plugin with a DVB card, i.e. what i put into the following function to view a channel: VLC.playlist.Add(<MRL>,<Name>,<Options>)

Re: multiple VLC player in one page

are you sure? im still having problems with multiple instances. Creating them and destroying them is fine (as long as you dont play any video), but as soon as i set them all off playing video only one plays, and then the app freezes.

ActiveX Probems with v0.9.2

Hi, Congratulation to the development team on releasing 0.9.2. I know this is going to sound like a rant, and its not supposed to, but ever since installing 0.9.2 and importing the new activex control into my projects, and i noticed some severe issues. (For the record i am using Borland Delphi 2006 ...

Re: Latest ActiveX issues on Internet explorer

Agree - the multiple activex issue has been around for far too long and I think it should be looked at with more priority. Im sure its a difficult bug to find but the vlc coders are very good so im sure they could crack it if they spend some time on it

Multiple VLC in the same App

Hi, I have successfully created a Delphi 2006 App that streams video with VLC. I would like to add several of these VLC streams to my app but VLC seems to crash if you create more than 1 VLCPlugin ActiveX control. Please could someone either explain why this is and if this is possible to fix in futu...

Hi, I would like to add VLC to my app, with the ability to select which video to play via a right click to bring up a popupmenu. Trouble is, assigning a popupmenu to the VLCPlugin activex control does nothing (i.e. nothing happens). There also does not appear to be an onclick event for me to manuall...

Delphi : Problems with Multiple ActiveX on same Form

Hi, I have found issues with my program running two or more Video Lan activeX controls with Delphi. From what I understand this is due to an unsolved issue and many people have problems with it. So......couple of questions 1) Is there a workaround for Delphi? 2) Any ideas if and when it might be fix...
