I can't change situation with ip addresses - subnet 192.168.11.0 is not "my other site", address from this subnet I get when I connet to Internet by VPN.

And this situation ONLY in winXP. If I try to do the same in win2000, then adding permanent route to 224.0.0.0 (route -p add) work fine and multicast receiving independent from vpn.
What wrong with XP?

It is normal for many VPN software programs to bump the metric to make other routes "more costly". Which VPN software are you using? I use standard VPN connetion, builded in WinXP (make new connection -> connect to Virtual Private Network etc) Have you tried OpenVPN? No, users don't want ...

multicast, XP and VPN

Sorry for my english. I use VLC for multicast streams from DVB card. Users are receiving the multicast by vlc on winXP and all ok. But when user connect to internet by vpn (pptp vpn with standard VPN-connection in winXP), system (XP) change route table and add new route for net 224.0.0.0 mask 240.0....

Anybody home? :) I have change my configuration of linuxbox - remove all services (httpd, ftpd, etc) to eth1, move eth0 on seitch to vlan999 (multicast vlan) and run vlc (may be by default his multicast on eth0?). But now my tcpdump show to me UDP from 192.168.5.2->239.192.10.14:1234 on ETH1. Why???...

Multicast from eth1?

I need to broadcast by http on eth0 and multicast (udp) from eth1. How a can define it in vlc (linux version)? I don't see any option like this in all faq/doc/forum etc. In my linuxbox at eth0 ip 192.168.5.2 and at eth1 192.168.6.1. I need to multicast at eth1, from ip 192.168.6.1 But when i run vlc...
