Since the devs are probably too busy to fix this soon and since I have a need to watch anime, I have solved the libass crashing issue in the current 3.0 nightlies by replacing the liblibass.dylib with a non-crashing version from http://nightlies.videolan.org/build/macosx-intel/backup/vlc-3.0.0-x86_6...

I think there's something wrong with the 3.0 nightlies again. They're about 10 MB smaller than what they should be.

Update: It seems like Contents/MacOS/share/locale inside the app bundle is completely empty.

Moving the hue slider doesn't change the hue in vlc-3.0.0-x86_64-20140820-0113 and later (the last working build was vlc-3.0.0-x86_64-20140819-0113). Nightlies for 2.2.0 do not seem affected.

It seems like the Mac nightly builds have stopped again. The last build was on July 26.

There hasn't been a build of 2.2.0 since May 20th. I've been checking the nightlies weekly, hoping a dev had fixed them.

Any update on this?

It seems like v.2.2.0 nightlies have stopped being built again. The newest one is from May 20th.

Thank you for fixing this! An aside: is there a difference between builds that are around 35MB versus builds that are about 21MB? This size difference is sort of strange. I've been staying away from the smaller ones.

Sorry to be bugging you about this again but it seems like the nightlies server (http://nightlies.videolan.org/) is completely down. This is unrelated to the previous missing Mac builds but I didn't want to start a new thread.

Any news on this?

The last nightly build of 2.2.0 for the Mac was on March 24, 2014. Are you guys not doing nightlies for 2.2.0 anymore? This is not that important but I do like to test the latest build from time to time. I would appreciate it if a dev could look into this.

According to Trac, this issue seems to be fixed. However, there hasn't been a new nightly build of 2.2.0 since Feb. 3rd (before the fix). Could someone look into making 2.2.0 nightlies available again? Thank you.

This is fixed (tested on vlc-2.1.1-x86_64-20131117-0314). Thank you! That was really quick.

It turns out this is happening with every filter. For example, if I have sharpen on, enabling any other filter with cause sharpen to be disabled (with the check box still checked). This is with 2.1.1 nightly from Nov.10.

In 10.9, I am unable to enable "Image Adjust" and "Motion Blur" simultaneously. Enabling motion blur disables the image adjust (the check box is still checked but the video is not modified). Is this a known issue with 10.9? Is there a workaround? This with 2.1.0 release version a...

Please, please, please fix this. It really is a pain to have to quit the AirServer daemon to get VLC to work normally.

I finally solved this problem. There appears to be an incompatibility between VLC 2.0.4 and AirServer. As long as AirServer is off (by disabling auto-launch on boot and restarting; quiting after start-up doesn't work), VLC 2.0.4 works perfectly. Something must have changed between VLC 2.0.3 and 2.0....
