im doin a project using vlc, and been tryning to find out if you can start a file on vlc at anypoint, without having to start from the start of the file and use the seek command for example start view the stream 20 seconds from the start of it i dnt seem to see any answers to this anywhere on the in...

is it possible for vlc to play tow streams and the same time. i kno vlm can handle more than one stream but dnt kno if it can play two streams at the same time

this is prob very simple

but how do i save a file that i have trnscoded, so that i dnt keep having to transcode it to the same bit rate everytime i want to play it

i.e is there a command line?

if u use the duplicate module so u have two streams.

is it possible for the streams to not be EXACTLY the same. i.e with dif bit rates

when i go inot the trancode options under the "Sout Stream" menu and alter some of the parameters whne the video plays after this there does not seem to be any change. maybe im not altering the values enuf..i dnt kno

im jus trying to change the resolution of the video
