Media open folder always reverts back to c:\programfiles\vlc folder and does not remember my last action say on my e:\Drive.

I hv been looking everywhere in vlc to set when I want to open folder or open file I would like to set to my e:\ drive rather than default c:\programfiles\vlc.
Can some one tell me where the setting for that is in vlc the latest ver.PLZ
