I installed all the driver which was available in the CD from vendor. I will try to update the driver and let you know.

Thanks for your reply. I tried with AVI file file. I noticed that it stops playing the file at 00:00: 44. When drag the progress bar few minute after this point then it plays and again it stops after sometime.

you need to download the src code for vlc media player from http://www.videolan.org/, build it and install it. it will work.
I installed 0.8.6a version of vlc in my system and it is working fine.

your system should have ffmpeg libraries installed to get rid of this error.
you can checkout ffmpeg source code from website http://ffmpeg.mplayerhq.hu/
