Re: Dual subtitles?

Now that we've rung in the new year I'm wondering if any developers have some updates or input on the matter. Many users would still really love this!

Re: VLC and subtitle encoding

Rather than create a separate post for the same issue, I'll just say that I'm running the latest version of VLC and OS X (now 1.1.5 and 10.6.5, respectively) and I'm still curious about which character encoding I should choose for Spanish-language subtitles. I've tried about fifteen of them and they...

Re: VLC and subtitle encoding

Thanks so much! I love the fact that I can do this on a file-by-file basis instead of needing to change my universal settings. I was just wondering if you know which of the many encodings might remedy the above problem. Thanks again for your help and the great program!

VLC and subtitle encoding

I have VLC 1.0.5 and Mac OS X 10.6.3. I encountered, for the first time, an error with the subtitle rendering. I loaded up a Spanish-language SRT subtitle file for an English-language video file. All of the upside-down question marks (¿) and vowels with accents (é, ó, í, et cetera) just showed up as...

Re: Dual subtitles?

I just want to thank everyone for reviving this topic that is really important to me. I especially want to thank VLC_help for explaining some of the issues. My hope is this dialogue will lead us to further development of our hopes and eventually lead to implementation on a basic level of displaying ...

I just figured I'd bump this old request. I'm in Mac OS X 10.4.9 and VLC 0.8.6a and there is still no way to get a video file to play full-screen in a non-primary monitor. I'd love to have my videos play on my secondary monitor, which is five inches larger.

Full Screen with multiple monitors

I have two monitors and am running a Mac with Mac OS X 10.4. When I enable Full Screen when the movie window is in the secondary monitor, the movie goes to the primary monitor and plays it full screen. If VLC could emulate Apple's DVD Player.app, it would make the movie full screen on whichever moni...

I would love this feature! I have multiple monitors and would really appreciate the ability to both enable multiple subtitles and choose where they go (I would like to position them on the lower black bar if I have one monitor—so that they don't block the actual movie). This way, I could use English...
