I'm seeing the exact same problem when trying to connect to the tcp interface using .NET TcpClient, I'm able to connect and send commands, but they are not executed until I press enter in the console window. I've also tried different newline combos ("\n\r" "\n" "\r") bu...

[BUG] Preference saving for mux_ts is broken?

I'm using the windows version of VLC (0.7.2), and after changing the video stream PID on the sout mux/mux_ts module and saving the config, the PID setting is lost on restart of VLC. If I edit the vlcrc file manually, it works as expected.

I'm using Elecard/Moonlight myself, but WMP is still not able to play multicast streams, because of the special configuration of the filters. DirectShow UPD streaming using DX9 SDK sample filter

I've successfully implemented VLC UDP (multicast) streaming to a DirectShow filtergraph using the DirectX 9 SDK sample filter "MPEG-2 Multicast Receiver" (DXSDK\Samples\C++\DirectShow\Filters\DSNetwork) and the DX9 MPEG-2 Demultiplexer. The demux must be configured manually (programmatical...

VLC MPEG-2 TS mux PIDs?

I'm testing a setup where I play back multicasted mpeg-2 from VLC in a directshow filter graph, but I'm having problems configuring the mpeg-2 demultiplexer, what PIDs are the VLC ts mux using for audio/video? I guess I'm getting the default, perhaps this is configurable as well?

Thanks,

Multicast to Windows Media Player clients

I'm relatively new to VLC and was wondering if it is possible to use the VLC stream ouput to multicast to Windows Media Player (or in fact custom DirectShow based) clients, for synchronized playback? If so, could someone give me some hints on how to configure this? Is there a DirectShow filter avail...
