HI I had the same problem. I played the m3u-url but it did not tell me the contents of the playlist directly. I found the proper url for the stream in tools-statistics (extras-statistiken) on the bottom there is a field for location (ort). Use that url and continue as you described.

Hi, I would be very glad if vlc supported lastfm. I found the preferences to enter my lastfm login data. But how do I actually tune in? I tried all sorts of url fragments I took from lastfm website or Thelastripper trying to open a network stream but I can´t get a connection to the radio... Thanks P...

Just from your experience, what does vlc do, when the CDDB-support works? does a window open stating the attempt to download from freedb? Does the information appear automatically in the playlist? And what happens if your cd isn´t registered on freedb? Do yo get an error-message?

Yea, I would really like to know that too. I´ve stfw for hours but there does not seem to be a single page that tells you what to do, when you inserted an audio-cd and want to receive cddb information but get none.
