Re: Black screen with 1 second left

Hello. I am curious if there has been any news related to this fix. I recently uninstalled, cleared settings, and reinstalled VLC; this problem persists. It is pretty a pretty irritating problem, I've had to resort to alternative media players so I can properly playlist multiple files.

Re: VLC 1.0.2 hangs with MKV containing several audiotracks

I hate bumping purely on principle. But I am curious, has a fix been found for this issue? It is currently present in the latest version of VLC, and since I rely on playlists with 100% of my usage of VLC, with this current problem is it unusable. Unfortunately I've had to switch to alternative media...

Re: vlc video freezes

Good to know then. I did actually find that trac ticket, along with a few others which had similar issues. I must of done 10 hours of research on this stupid problem :-|.

Re: Error?...

Sounds like the files are corrupt or incomplete. Given the naming I am betting your downloading them. I bet they have not finished downloading (probably a torrent file?)

Re: vlc video freezes

Doing lots of research on VLC's MKV support. It seems to be extremely buggy at best, and there has been no updates on it for several months. Am I correct to assume that VLC is no longer going to update MKV support? I love VLC, I have become reliant on various features such as the custom hot keys, so...

Re: vlc video freezes

Going to Input / Codecs -> Demuxers -> and changing the "Demux Module" to "FFmpeg demuxer" stopped it from freezing. Although it is still skipping on parts that would normally cause it to freeze. Edit: I should mention that the skipping is really bad, perhaps just as unviewable a...

Re: vlc video freezes

I thought I should add to this. I am getting the exact set of errors on various files. Against all reasonable logic, I installed a codec pack to test, I installed CCCP. The freezing does not occur on WMP, or Media Player Classic. This seems to happen on MKV files. Here is what I've done. None of it ...

This already exists from my knowledge. I could be wrong. Try these steps. Go to Settings -> Preferences -> Check the 'Advanced Options' Box -> Expand 'Video' -> Expand 'Output Modules' -> Select DirectX -> Select 'Enable Wallpaper Mode'. Note: This only works with the windows version (to the best of...

Use numbers as hotkeys

The title described my request well enough. I noticed that you cannot use numbers as hot keys. I have setup my hotkeys to work comfortably with my Creative RM-1500 remote that came with my audigy 4. However I can only use a handful of the buttons. If the numbers were available, this would open up 10...

This could be caused from a number of issues. Primary issue being it could be just a bad video. Have you tried other videos, to see if it still does it? If it still does it, try updating your soundcard driver. Also try going to (in vlc) Settings -> Preferences -> Advanced Options -> Audio -> Highlig...

I registered just to say... Yup. You my friend, You rock. I was pulling my hair out to figure out why my video was so dark in vista. I almost gave up, and accepted that its probably my display drivers. Since they are still in beta and whatnot. I had tweaked the brightness, contrast, and gamma to try...
