Hello. I am curious if there has been any news related to this fix. I recently uninstalled, cleared settings, and reinstalled VLC; this problem persists. It is pretty a pretty irritating problem, I've had to resort to alternative media players so I can properly playlist multiple files.

I hate bumping purely on principle. But I am curious, has a fix been found for this issue? It is currently present in the latest version of VLC, and since I rely on playlists with 100% of my usage of VLC, with this current problem is it unusable. Unfortunately I've had to switch to alternative media...

Good to know then. I did actually find that trac ticket, along with a few others which had similar issues. I must of done 10 hours of research on this stupid problem .

Sounds like the files are corrupt or incomplete. Given the naming I am betting your downloading them. I bet they have not finished downloading (probably a torrent file?)

I thought I should add to this. I am getting the exact set of errors on various files. Against all reasonable logic, I installed a codec pack to test, I installed CCCP.
