Fixed as in todays build? Or should have been fixed by now? Also the Nightly Builds don't play subtitles automatically. Is there a group of people who work on the Nightly Builds then? EDIT: Tried Aug 3rd build and the shutdown bug is still there. I had to create a .bat file which kills the process.
Im pretty sure this was working fine before. It suddenly stopped working. After you go to a certain point (40mins in?), you cannot go past it, the video just hangs.
I downloaded the Nightly Build and it works there but that has its own bugs.
It has MP4a sound according to stats. It just has a constant low pitch hum throughout the movie. If I play it back on Quicktime, it is fine but I cant use that because the video is far too slow and jerky. This is also fixed if I switch to Mono. But I don't want to do that. Any ideas what the problem...
One thing about CRT TVs is that it hides digital artefacts with scanlines. I would like to add these to a video too see if it sharpens the image when viewing from a distance.
I think it would be a good feature. There are DVDs out there which have rubbish subtitles (particularly translated ones) or no subs at all so it would be good to load up an SRT or something.
I think MPC can do it. Would it be possible to implment this feature into VLC player?
I've done a mass search for this issue, it seems some others have the same thing but it was never really addressed. Some say it works, but it doesn't for me. I do nto even get the Video -> subtitle track menu. Yes I have auto load subs checked in prefs. Only way it works for me is to use quick load,...
