Nothing major: the full screen, mouse hovering, control panel is not scaled properly. That, or there's a UI preference I don't know about.

What else could be causing the dips in volume during loud scenes? What is the source? A video file with a multichannel audio track? If you're playing such a file on a two-channel audio system, the dips in volume on loud segments is to prevent the stereo down-mix from going over 0 dBFS. Dolby and DT...

Please add Wave64 as a file format for audio transcoding since Wave is limited to 4 GB.

Would it be possible to add a control to modify the gains of individual channels when downmixing multichannel audio (AC3 and DTS) to stereo? I noticed that the center channel is 6 dB too loud, usually with DTS, in the downmix (to my taste anyway). TIA.

Personally i'm not holding my breath just yet. I've seen too many ppl say "oh, i'll fix that", and then be stranded in the swamp that is CoreAudio and VLC :) Come on... The VLC project is asking for OSX developers, I find one that is interested in resolving this problem, and you shrug it ...
