Thanks, yes I have looked in there but haven't a clue what should be changed, and the defaults aren't working for audio. Perhaps someone else out there has some Windows suggestions, I'd sure like to get this working if I can.

Hi
I've tried everything suggested to get the player working on NT4 with no results. There are no error messages, it just won't play at all.
Are there instructions somewhere on how to set up the settings for NT4 ?
Thanks
DirectX 6 doesn't seem to be available as a download any more, only a DirectX 6 Software Development Kit, I can't seem to find dowloads for 7 or 8 either, only 9 available and it doesn't list NT4 in the compatibility list. I gather this is a requirement to get VL player working
I've tried both the suggestions you made for the other post but with no success, still can't get it to play anything. It's installed on an NT4 compaq laptop with all proper drivers as far as I can tell.
Any help would be greatly appreciated
Thanks
I''d like to use VLC with Windows NT4.0 for workgroups but after installation I can't seem to get it to play, only a momentary flash and then it drops off. Is there anywhere on this site that deals with setups for NT 4.0, or would any of the contributors know if it is possible to set up VLC for NT ?...
Hi
